Our Abode in the Autumn

The Serven Clan Abode in the Fall.

Each time I walk by our picture windows, I give a little gasp. The colors are growing stronger, almost exponentially by the minute. Even since I took these pictures yesterday, the oranges are deeper, the yellows brighter and the reds duskier. The greens of summer are fading into beautiful autumn gold.

For the last few autumns, we've not been home. Various conferences and trips took us away from our state, and thus, we've missed the changing of the colors. Happily, this year is different. We are enjoying the wonder of God's creation this autumnal season.

Last fall flowers.

Cosmos and Basil gone to seed.

Lots of colors in God's Garden.

I agree Peter......the flowers are very nice!

Blessings to you,

Johanna Kautt

P.S. It's getting colder here and I need to put away all our summer clothing and get out our winter clothing soon.

Dearest Peter,

Sarah says that she needs to harvest all the seeds!

Dear Johanna,

The flower garden turned out nice--and it was pretty easy to plant. Perhaps you could find a little patch of dirt around your house and try to plant some next year! We started switching some of our clothes out too. We are starting to wear sweaters and things--exciting. Fall is certainly in the air.

Resting in His Joy,
Rebecca

Dear Rebecca,

We are starting to wear coats now!

Maybe we'll try to grow a flower garden sometime. ;)
