What a wonderful celebration. I've been reading comments on another blog as to how pretty the wedding cake was. I couldn't find the picture they were talking about. If you get a chance, would you please consider posting a photo of it? I am currently taking cake decorating classes with my eldest daughter, and we would enjoy seeing how the cake turned out. Thanks for sharing all these lovely photos? You had an excellent photographer.
I'm working on tracking down a photo of the cake--as soon as I get it, I'll post it!
Glad you liked the photos. These are all taken by my brother Peter. There were several other photographers, but we've not seen their work yet; plus, this was just a preliminary group of pics from Peter.
Dear Sarah-Kate,
Yes, it's real Cold Stone!
Dear Joanna,
Yes, that's Mr. V. We were so grateful for all our our sweet friends assistance in a myriad of ways!! We felt so loved and blessed.
That's a hilarious picture of the men's "bow ties"! How neat that the Valentis were there. Was it really poring rain or was that a photographic trick? Can't tell with Peter! :)
My dad said Peter the photographer did a good job on the wedding photos. He has been trained professionally and knows a lot about manual photography, which I am trying to learn from him. :) It was interesting, he pointed out where you did some "photoshop work" on the images which really makes them vibrant! I like how you made Beth stand out so much in the pictures...It would be interesting to see the originals. :)
My favorite is the one of Mr. and Mrs. Serven with Beth before the wedding...the radiance on Mrs. Serven's face! This must be so true to every parent..."I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth"!
Peter has quite a talent. He really captured all the joy of the wedding. I tried that link for the cake picture and for some reason couldn't access it. Thanks Sarah for trying to help out here. I guess I'm not computer savy enough to figure it out. :(
Thanks, Mr. Loomis... this one works. And, THAT is one of the more amazing cakes I've seen, as well. I particularly liked the way the flowers (real or iced, hard to tell in the photo) follow the overall color scheme of the day. A great "fit". (I'll bet the cake itself was VERY yummy as well......)
Thanks so much to the anonymous individual who provided the site for the cake. It was an incredible creation. I can see why all those folks were commenting on how beautiful it was.

Hmmm.... is that Mr. Valenti in the first picture on the left?
How did I know that the Servens and the Ten Dolles would have dancing @ the wedding?! ;)
I LOVE all of the pictures, of course. I can't wait for more, too.
