Yay!! We're so excited for them, and we watched on Saturday. What a beautiful wedding! And it had some of our favorite songs! We counted 3 that we sang the night you all stayed with us :).

I don't want you to rain on their (Jon & Beth) parade, but more pix would be great.

I watched on Saturday, as well. It's ALWAYS good to hear God's Word on marriage, which serves as a primer and reminder--even to those of us who have been married for decades--and have ten kids. I ruminated on a couple of the passages that your dad mentioned, and, although I've heard/read them literally hundreds of times, they resonated w/me. That is yet another amazing thing about God's Word--you can never hear it too much.

I watched the wedding on Saturday. It was so much fun to be able to do that.
I will look forward to more pictures.
BTW I was amazed at how well you all kept up with the blog during the wedding preparations! That was great!

This is the first time I have ever posted on your blog, but we have enjoyed your blog for a few years. It was a blessing for our family to be able to watch the wedding of Beth and Jon last Saturday! Thank you for making it possible for your blog viewers to watch it via the internet! It is always wonderful to witness a God-honoring wedding. (My sister Ana visited with Beth for a little bit at Peter and Kelly Bradrick's wedding.) We also really enjoyed the posts of your progress before the wedding. We were quite impressed that, though you were busy getting ready for the wedding, you posted every day! We are looking forward to seeing more photos from the wedding! It was fun to see the three you posted today!
God bless!

Various Bernhardts were also watching the wedding--it was beautiful! I especially loved the organ music--so majestic!

Blessings as you all transition into "after the wedding" mode!

Didn't get to watch the wedding, but wanted to offer my congrats to the happy couple.
My courtship ended in marriage almost 6 months ago and it's been GREAT! :)

Had to leave for the day's "missions" right after the wedding.. but it was SO good to have been able to watch it. I know i'm not the only one thinking that, I noticed about the time they were signing the Bible entry page that there were 278 watching just then... amazing! You'd think it was a Celebrity Wedding... which in reality it was! Royalty, indeed! And what a legacy this celebration will become. One of the most God-honoring ceremonies I've ever witnessed. I can't help but think of this in light of the family's enterprise with the Genevan Foundation. Sure, producing, promoting and distributing those products is a great ministry, but, having watched the courtship, engagement, preparations, and now the ceremony, it is plain the Serven Clan is all about the restoration of godly values and practices to our culture. And there is no doubt the new ten Dolle family will carry on and bring these things into the next several generations. God's blessings on a life dedicated to Him persue His people to a thousand generations! Amazing.

It was amazing to realist, while watching, that this all was actually happening two thousand miles away at precisely the moment I was seeing it.

And now, having successfully seen the preparations through to the reality, I trust all of you are enjoying the time together with out of town visitors, family and friends, together with your amazing church family. May this time as well be rich and fruitful... and fun!! Thanks again for all the hard work it took to minimise the distance factor, and allow us to participate real time, at least in spirit.

I have never left a comment before but have read your blog for some time. I was tremendously blessed to be able to watch Jon and Beth's beautiful wedding and to hear the lovely music that was chosen and to hear all that was spoken during the ceremony. You'll never know just how edifying and encouraging it was to me! I am thankful for the privilege of having gotten to "know" your special family via the Internet. The picture of Jon and Beth brought tears to my eyes....so precious.

So, if Jon and Beth are married, how come the "headline" on the side of the blog still says, "Jon and Beth are engaged"? Just wondering if you have plans to change that?

Anonymous said...

I know it's silly, but thanks for changing that headline. Makes me feel so much better. :)

Will Jon and Beth have a blog of their own when they get settled?
